I always find it interesting when people say they don’t like French food… because do you like steak? Do you like fries?
I always find it interesting when people say they don’t like French food… because do you like steak? Do you like fries? What about butter, pastries, aioli? Exactly. 😉
This spot is a reminder that French cuisine doesn’t have to feel intimidating. Their contemporary take blends classic French techniques with unexpected flavours, creating a menu that feels elevated but still approachable. Plus, the spacious patio makes it the perfect summer dining spot.
Here’s what we had:
🥖 Pain au Lait: House made milk buns, salted butter, thyme
🍒 Chicken Liver Mousse Eclair: Cherry preserve, chervil
🍤 Shrimp Toast: House made pullman loaf, lemon tarragon aioli
🐟 Hiramasa Crudo: Coconut leche de tigre, pickled celery, cilantro oil, sunflower seeds
🥗 Mizuna Salad: Lemon garlic vinaigrette, radish, tomato vinegar gastrique, pistachio
🍝 Triangoli: Pea and pecorino stuffed pasta, lemon beurre blanc, peas, mint, hazelnut
🥩 Steak Frites: Demi-glace, café de Paris butter
🍓 Strawberry Millefeuille: Crème diplomate
🍫 Chocolate Coconut Cake
The hiramasa crudo was one of the highlights of the night. I could honestly drink that sauce. The triangoli was an incredible pasta dish, and the steak frites delivered exactly what you want from the classic combo: perfect fries, rich butter, and jus (although I would have loved a little more seasoning on the steak itself). The strawberry millefeuille was another standout, while the chocolate coconut cake was a little dry for me.
A French menu with something for everyone, whether you’re coming for the classics, the cocktails, or a long summer dinner on the patio.
