Donizetti’s romantic comedy, The Elixir of Love returns to the Canadian Opera Company with a charming new production from director James Robinson, set in an idyllic small town before the First World War.
The production tells a Cinderella story with a twist, as a poor and uneducated young man seeks to win the heart of a rich, clever and beautiful woman through the aid of a magic elixir.
