WHERE DID YOU COME UP WITH THE IDEA FOR TASTETHESIX?
I have been a foodie for as long as I can remember, but I only started taking pictures of my meals around two years ago. After a while my camera only consisted of food and I thought what better way to disperse and share my love of food!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE RESTAURANT IN TORONTO?
That’s an incredibly hard question… Some of my favourites include Bar Buca, Scaramouche, Bent and Peoples eatery, however the list goes on!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE MEAL YOU’VE PHOTOGRAPHED?
Well anything that has a lot of colour and is theatrically beautiful is a great picture! I don’t know if I have a favourite… All the pictures that I include on my Instagram are among my favourites. There is an abundance that will never see social media simply because I don’t think they’re worthy.
WHAT IS ONE THING THAT YOUR READERS WOULD BE SURPRISED TO HEAR?
I always get the impression that people assume I’m older than I am. So if you do ever see or meet me, expect me to be about 5-10 years younger than you originally thought.
IF YOU COULD EAT ONE MEAL FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Funny enough, I’ve actually thought about this before. I’d have to say either ice cream because it’s my favourite food or salad. There are so many flavours and variations with these foods that it wouldn’t get old since I would constantly be mixing it up.
WHAT’S ONE OF THE WEIRDEST OR CRAZIEST FOODS YOU’VE EVER ENCOUNTERED?
when I was in Israel about a month ago, I was at a meat restaurant that served cuts that I didn’t think people ate. The weirdest was probably bull testicles…
WHEN IT COMES TO SPECIALTY FOOD IN TORONTO, WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE AND WHY?
To be honest, I don’t have a favourite however what I love about Toronto is our multiculturalism. There are so many types of cuisines and foods that I am constantly learning about new foods. It’s pretty exciting to me! I have a whole bucket list of things I’d like to try.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT LIVING IN TORONTO?
there’s always something new to do. There’s always a new store, Cafe, restaurant and club. It’s never boring. Walking around Yorkville and downtown at night is probably one of the things I love most. You always spot something new you want to do or try. The city is my home. I’m extremely proud to call myself a Torontonian. No other city compares.
