With the hot weather hitting Toronto and with the first week of July just wrapping up in Toronto, this can only mean one thing, Summer is here and so is Summerlicious!
Summerlicious is back this year and helping restaurants get more people into their seats during the summer slowdown. It is perfect for helping Torontonians on a budget get access to high end dining experiences for a cheaper cost.
For those of you not aware what Summerlicious is,the event is a premier prix fixe food event and features: three-course prix fixe lunch menus are priced at $18, $23 and $28 and dinner menus are priced at $28, $38 and $48. Over 200 top restaurants participate in this event held in Toronto and the event runs from July 7 until July 23, 2017.
This year an impressive 22 new restaurants were added to Summerlicious, so it is no surprise that this is one of the biggest city wide 2 week event. One notable restaurant you might want to try out is Jamie’s Italian, located in Yorkdale Shopping Centre. This is Jamie Oliver’s first restaurant to open in North America!
As some restaurants might be a little more busy than others it is best to try and make reservations. Reservations are not required, but highly encouraged to make sure that you are able to get into the restaurant, as some restaurants book up pretty quickly with this event. If you are curious about last minute availability, you can head over to Today’s Reservations Availability to look for last minute reservations.
Another thing to keep in mind too, is each restaurant still has their own hours of operation and some might not be open on specific days, so also make sure to double check the hours of operation with the restaurant.
